Meet Daniel Graves

Daniel is a PR and Community Engagement professional who is experienced in successfully leading community relations in corporate, nonprofit, and political organizations. Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio’s Hough neighborhood fuels his drive to run in his community. Daniel has been fighting and advocating for underserved families since college. He started a nonprofit called Push Against Poverty, which helped families get connected to resources and partnered with Hough’s Fatima Family Center.

Daniel understands the needs and opportunities of Ward 7, because of his background. Upon completing his college education in Public Relations at Cleveland State University he began working as a Social Studies teacher, pushing young people to their greatest potential. Daniel is a driven, focused, and spiritually grounded individual with meaningful compassion for those at the bottom of our economy. He will diligently push to improve the already dynamic neighborhood of Ward 7.

As an advocate, Daniel understands what is necessary to move from poverty to self-sufficiency. He wants all Ward 7 residents and like-minded Clevelanders to join this necessary effort to push for more progress by electing him to Cleveland City Council. As the councilperson of Ward 7, Daniel will serve our community with fierce passion as well as a deep commitment to creating a safer environment for all in Ward 7.

Daniel has coalesced an experienced and passionate team to push for a more dynamic neighborhood throughout Ward 7. Daniel and his team are working tirelessly to leverage the core asset of Ward 7’s prime location in order to create equitable development, public safety and safe policing, quality education, sustainability, and improved city services.
